I'm sure we will simply have to redouble our efforts to forgive, understand, to rebuild the bridges between us; we must attempt to comprehend fully just how these bridges came to be destroyed. There is no other recourse. We must, of ourselves, by ourselves, recognize the roots of our illness, and do all that we can to extricate ourselves from this mess.

D. Boon dies in Arizona car crash
I have endured your hatred.
I have expressed my gratitude.
I have tried to penetrate your secretive motives.
You won't be happy until there is nothing left unused.
Every stratum of coal.
Every tree chopped down.
Every fanatical missile.
Every unjust decree.
Every animal killed.
Is all this for my benefit?
If so I never asked for it.
Are we improving morally
with every high pitched battle cry?
Does it elevate our clumsiness?
Arbitrated disputes breakdown
too easily to the pervading
moods of the armed forces.
I have expressed my gratitude.

Every stratum of coal.
