Both these were found in a used copy of 'The Birth of Tragedy and The Genealogy of Morals' by Friedrich Nietzsche. Cat on grass is inscribed on the back 'Mitsies first time on... grass! 1989 Apx 3 mths old'

briiliant find, reads on so many levels, especially in that the cat is long dead!
The love the composition of the cat picture, the arrangement of the shapes of the buildings in the background and the sweeping line of the path in front of them, with 'mitsie' sort of paddling through this sea of green. As you said there many levels.
